I may sound a bit odd to ask this question at the time when Fuji just announced discontinuation of many films, but still - here it is:

Would you be interested in the Provia 400X in large formats? (4x5 or even bigger?) If yes or no - why?

Currently the only ISO 400 film available in 4x5 is Kodak 400NC.

Reportedly 400X responds rather well when pushed to ISO 800 - 1600.

I found myself preferring slides to negatives and sometimes to get 2 more stops helps to reduce the wind or impact of the subject movement. So my answer is - YES - it would be my main slide film for 4x5. The grain is fine enough for large prints even form smaller formats and color palette compares very well to Provia 100F.

so - what is your opinion?

Absolutely, I would buy a ton of it.

However, I would prefer Pro 800Z!

I am wondering whether it was the improbability of the Provia 400x being release in 4x5 that led to so few votes ...

It is not going to happen.
