Progression to ULF ... yours ?

I have to agree. started with 4x5 and then thought it was too small and that 8x10 was big enough. Then the 8x20 came along and I was commenting on the weekend about how small 8x10 looks. Now a 16x20 is being planned, but I sometimes wonder whether to just take the step up to 20x24 instead.

Agreed, save time and money. I'm actually planing my 14x36 Pano right now.

Boy, the cat came out of the bag real quick Tri! Couldn't wait! I was good not to say anything but now I can't wait!! I know what to expect!

I'm still grooving on my whole plate - it's such a nice size. Small enough to be light and portable, big enough to be easy to view. And then there's the 14x17. Almost exactly 4 times the size. Ended up getting a studio mono stand for it to make life easier in the studio. Can't wait to shoot with it again.

I thought I'd add a picture of MY boys. The 8x20 was first, then the 11x14 and then the 14x17. These are all hand built by yours truly out of some fine Walnut I've had for years. I don't think there are any more cameras on the horizon but one never knows!

Curse you all. I used to think that 5x4 was big, then I got an 8x10....apparently that's a bit miniature as well! Where does it end?

I'm sliding down the slippery slope of ULF.
started with a typical graflex and portraiture, moved into some studio work. might continue with the studio work, view cameras in the studio can be really good for reproduction , catalog, and advertising. hey, i gotta eat.
saving up for an ebony 8x10.
1x14 is nice, but at that point, there is much less film available, and most all 11x14 film can be had in larger sizes. so i'm keeping an eye out for a 20x24 for ULF work. abstract work, architecture, etc.
