Yes, the camera itself adds the curves to horizontal lines and this is not avoidable with this type of cameras. I think some people hate this and get Fujifilm TX-2 or Hasselblad XPan. I don't mind the distortion.

Exactly.... on many of those you show the distortion of the horizon and of vertical edges of buildings is quite acceptable, almost unnoticeable, in my view.
