Hey Steve, you're going to have to change your location from Melbourne to Geelong on the bit under your avatar

Ok, I have everything now, just need to add Steve's second set of prints into group 1, and add my print info sheets into group 2.

It was actually harder than I expected to split up 11 lots of of prints into 11 groups and make sure everyone has the prints they're supposed to have. Especially when my dining room table is only just big enough to hold 11 lots of prints + envelopes.

When you get your prints, don't loose the info sheets, because some people had the info sheet loose and some people had it stuck to their prints - where people have them loose, I put the info sheet underneath the print. (ie. so it will go Print1, info sheet1, print2, infosheet2 etc.).

Also, I was wearing cotton gloves and have gone to the best effort I could not to mishandle any of the prints.

I should have it all done by tomorrow, so people can start picking up the prints tomorrow, just please call before you come around, and can you not call me before 11am, as I have some work on tonight (a server migration) which runs from 7pm - 3am so I'll probably sleep in tomorrow morning. For those who have posted, it will go out on Monday morning and most people should get them Tuesday or Wednesday depending on aust post.

Cool! Really looking forward to seeing everyone's offerings. And thanks to Tim for organising this.

Just wondering what others are planning on doing with the prints once they have them? Mount, frame and display? Bottom drawer of bedside cabinet? Donate to National Archives? :D Any other suggestions?

I've purchased an album that will become my "print exchange" album. Present thoughts are to put the info page on the LHS, facing the print on the RHS with the tissue interleaf in between. The album has enough pages to take a couple of rounds of exchanges ...

Cheers

I recently purchased a lifetime supply of acid free tissue (960 A3 sheets), so for now all of my exchange prints will go into a little 8x10" archive box interleaved with tissue, as I generally do for prints. An album, however, is a very good idea - I should look into that.

I hope you don't get any weird-sized prints then. The "rules" for this exchange should keep you safe but in one of the international exchanges I participated in on APUG, I received a 360 degree panorama image from a home-made pole camera and it was something like 8 inches by 2ft6 wide. You'd need a big album for that one :D

Hey everybody. Just collected my prints from Tim a little while ago and I am very impressed. I will post comments on each one shortly.

Thanks again to Steve for stepping in and providing an extra print for our group.

Picked mine up this afternoon, have only just gotten to have a proper look at them now, thanks guys, some GREAT prints in there! Let me please apologise to everyone in my group for all the typo's on my info sheet! It was written in a bit of a rush, between jobs at work, I'm sure you can work out what I meant though...

prints went in the mail today boys!

I think I might have missed the 4pm cutoff by about 10 minutes so, you might get them tomorrow, more likely Wednesday or Thursday.

I'll wait until a couple of people receive them and then I'll post up my comments. My only dread is that someone will post and tell me that I sent them their own print back (which means I stuffed up the groups), but I don't think that has happened, I was pretty careful to avoid that.

So anyway, I think I've done my part, happy for someone else to take over for the next round!

Yep, thanks Tim. If we do this again in Oz, there are options available that eliminate the central co-ordinator hands-on work altogether...
