I'm trying to identify a photograph, one I have seen in another photograph... here we go:
- The place and date is Montréal, 19 March 1961. I've got a couple of people looking at photographs, photobooks, and magazines.
- Someone is looking at a soft-cover publication, in a section that seems to be only illustrated by photos (perhaps Aperture or another US photo publication). The size is small, so it can't be LIFE or comparable magazines.
- On the left-hand side page, there's a white chicken running on a black background.
- On the right-hand side page, it's a portrait of two people. I've extracted and perspective-corrected the image in Photoshop. It looks like two men, one (perhaps a soldier in uniform) leaning on the should of another (a doctor?).
Is the picture of the two men iconic enough that someone might recognize it?
Obviously the fidelity is too low for reverse-searching Google Images.
Thanks in advance for any clues.
