Received from hwv "Einsteinhaus Caputh". A very nice print with all tones covered. I had to search it up to find out what Einsteinhaus Caputh was. Quite interesting. Thank you.
BRNO" from Ajven is interesting on several levels: (1) I initially thought it was Prague (visited many years ago), (2) the paper used has a very yellow/red paper base, (3) the juxtaposition of developed and undeveloped land. When I received this card my thoughts went to "it is underfixed". But the underlying tones of the print have not changed, so my observation is incorrect. What is interesting is that the paper tone changes with the quality of light in which the print is viewed.
Tidying my desk today, as instructed by Mrs R (!) and yes, I found a tiny bit of paper in the corner, caught up amongst the 35mm film box ends with "metadata" written on them. "Plato Iowa USA / Hassy 80mm / Kentmere 200 / XTOL". Got there in the end, thanks! There is a tiny slip of paper in the envelope with the information. No one has discovered it so that's a failure. Send the card when you're bored with it.![]()
