There aren't many options for USPS International letter-rate stamps...The circular stamp with the orange flower is popular. I think it's been on most cards I've received from the States for the past year.
hello all,
I received many wonderful cards this rounds, but for a few circumstances I have had to take a pause in all things related to the hobby.
I will comment them in the coming days - and I should also take advantage of the Easter break to finally get round printing mines, sorry for the delay!
Thanks!First is Daniela's "Peace!". It's a guy (I think) holding a very large sign on his shoulders. The sign is blank on the viewer's side, so who knows, it just might say "buzz off" or something. But it's a very cool shot, a different approach to your typical protest photo. Very nicely exposed and printed too.
Thanks!
The sign was blank on both sides (you can see the front here). It was folded in half, so there might have been a message inside, but I didn't see it. It was large indeed and he carried it non-stop for a good 1 1/2 hours.
Thanks!

Obrigada, Monica!Hello Daniela,
These comments on your postcard left me intrigued so I went through your images to try to find it and I have to say I love your work.
I saw there was a phrase on the link that you shared that said "The march was organised by Belgian actress Lubna Azabal, as a silent walk with no slogans and no placards, just a single white banner. " So, I'm guessing probably there really was no message as that seemed to be the point. And it's a great picture by the way.
Yes, that was the biggest one. There were also lots of people carrying little white flags too.OK, now I understand. A silent sign.
I received three nice cards/prints. I've been out of town for several days, so they sat there gracing my table.

Next is ARS's fine landscape "Indian Mound Reserve". It's a small waterfall surrounded by lots of woods. A lot of the foliage is really lit up, at first I thought it was IR film. Nice silky water tones, even visible in the distance. This Bronica shot really needs to be enlarged, there is a lot of detail.
And third is the mystery shot. A rather frightening portrait of a fierce warrior from a long time ago. Or maybe he's just a soccer fan. Long beard, painted face, appears to be holding a spear and a shield. Good presentation here. I say mystery because it came with no text. Nothing on the back of the print, no card or letter inside. I know it's from England because Charles' picture is on the stamp. But all that doesn't detract from the image.
Three vastly different genres of images, all very well done. Thanks Danlela, Adam, and ???
Cheers,
-- Mark. the mystery shot is mine. Apologies from me and how I managed to send it off without details is a mystery to me. The print is called 'Pictish Man". He looks like a pict from ancient Scotland, when Scotland was known as Pictland. Taken with a Bronica ETRC 40mm lens and FP4 I think. Printed on Ilford MGFB 5x7 glossy.
