Received a very pretty landscape from @mikeg that I'll need to hide from my girlfriend as it's going to make her haul me over to the UK for sightseeing and hiking...

I think next month There are several types of exchanges, too. Have a look in the other parts of the Member organized functions forum as well. I do think the postcard exchange is the most active one!

I wondered if there was any kind of print exchange going on on this forum. Looks like I missed the boat on this round, anyone know when the next round starts?

Postcard exchange is active and blind print exchange is active. That's about it.

Received a Great Langdale Valley from @mikeg, yesterday. It's a beautiful view, excellently exposed, and very nicely printed. Thanks - it's a great photo!

This week I received these cards.
Sullivan's Gulch from jonmon - very nicely printed black and white. Great tones for sure. Those streaks look really cool the way they photographed.
Postcard from Negativefunk - great shot of the coast line, showing those cliffs. I'd love to go there myself.
Great Langdale Valley from Mike Groves - wow the orange filter realy makes a difference. Great looking shot of an area I should also head to. Well done.

Thanks guys, keep them coming.

Yesterday I received mikeg's "Great Langdale Valley", a magnificent landscape with glorious clouds. Did I mention how much I liked the clouds? Thanks Mike!

Happy to report that I received @mfohl 's beautiful "Old church" today. A crisp and airy print of a church's side?/back?. The contrast between the white walls and the dark cross is indeed beautiful. The slightly darker bricks in the front add interest; and the addition of the roof patterns serve as delicate framing.

Despite not being religious, I'm a sucker for crosses and can't walk by one without at least trying taking a picture, so I really appreciate the subject matter! Thank you, Mark!

I may have received a different part of the same church from @mfohl - an excellently exposed and printed photo of a corner where the light was hitting the building in an interesting way. It looks like it's glowing in the limited light in my 6 am living room.. Thanks, Mark!

Thanks Daniela and Don. They are different churches: Daniela's is a small country church and Don's is a big city church. I am not very religious, but I find crosses to be very interesting compositional elements, and many of my photos include them.

Thanks @mshchem for your nice comment — with B&W from a dye ink printer, I’ve found the Canon PM-101 to be one of the few that doesn’t show noticeable color cast under different lighting conditions. In past rounds I have received some excellent B&Ws from this same printer on other papers, so more to explore now. I received your card as well (OPEN), and it’s a nice (and hopeful) sentiment for current times. You also clearly have T-Max in XTOL dialed in better than I do! Also received Great Langdale Valley from @mikeg. Beautiful balance of light on the mountains and the darker foreground nicely accentuates the scene further on. @Oxleyroad sent First Flowers. B&W florals are always a favorite and I was especially interested in the film used — yields a very nice result. Fat Baxter’s was sent by @mfohl along with some interesting details about the camera, the place and the camaraderie within. I also received another beautifully composed urban scene (Sai Sing Pun, Hong Kong) from @hkbenji. I just love the balance of the circles, the light coming through them and the interplay with the scene behind.

Thanks everyone!

I also received Jim Christie's "Change?" today. Very cool. I like the contrast between the Segways and the bike. Nice printing, the bricks came out very well. Thanks Jim!

I recently got two more postcards
@mikeg sent a landscape I really liked. The dark foreground that opens up on the valley leads my eye nicely onwards. Is that two people on the right hand side?
I deeply regret not having visited the lake districts in 5 years I spent in the UK.

I also got @koraks production landscape. The notes add a dimension to the picture itself, and it's also I think the first handmade color print I hold in my hands ever so thanks for this!

I, too, received @koraks "Production Landscape" and thought it was a very interesting study. I especially like that it's a colour print that looks like it could have been black and white. That character makes the colour of the ground strange, even though it's natural. (As natural as a farmer's field is allowed to be, I guess.)

I have received these cards this week.....
Jim Christie - Change? - Such a classic looking shot. Years from now when no-one has heard of a Segway, people will look at this photo and ask what were they exactly???

Koraks - Production Landscape - I hear what you're saying about the landscape. It just is. we can like the man-made landscape or not, but either way it's part of who we are if it's were we live.

mfohl - Ray of Light - wow, those Nikon FM2's just keep on going!! Very simple shot that works well. Nice fade away into the shadows and the details.

Received the first card of the round from @negativefunk - "Postcard", view of giant cliffs by the sea. Looks like a great place to take a stroll. Thanks!
And Olga notified me that she got a letter from @Don Heisz.

I'm happy it got there safely, @bedrof . The good thing about nice places is that they stubbornly keep being nice even if the pic & print do not do them justice.
In yours I tried some burning for the clouds, but I later realised I should have burnt with a higher contrast filter...oh well, some more learning.

I received three more pics.
Change by @Jim Christie - I cannot refrain from chuckling whenever I see a segway. I lost count of how many people I saw falling in touristic places in Italy when they were still a thing.
I liked @mfohl white church, for the strong contrast particularly - mine is the same one Daniela received I think, the country one.
Finally I got @Jord186 Container. This is a precious print, and I like the subtle tone very much. Toning is something that has been intriguing me but have not tried yet and your process really works well with this paper I believe.

Today I received a really gorgeous print in literally every way from @Jord186
I really love it! I'm still figuring out the 'proper' orientation; I think it must be landscape, but this still leaves two viable options, both of which work and have a different effect. Love it!
