Paul,Mr Kings lovely tree branch still with leaves, odd for Canada, must be south, love the toning.
I follow someone on Flickr from Canada who does mostly rural photography of old barns and things. Seems there is only a few months of the year where there isnt any snow in the picture. Its always interesting seeing the different seasons in the world. Here its either hot or not so hot.Paul,
Thanks for the kind comment - I was reminded that I wanted to comment on the "Canada" comment.
That negative was exposed last May - so they are Spring leaves.
Canada is a big place - about 15% larger then Australia!I follow someone on Flickr from Canada who does mostly rural photography of old barns and things. Seems there is only a few months of the year where there isnt any snow in the picture

The card from jvo of an alien from another time and/or place. The low contrast print on fogged(?) paper only adds to the mystery of this creature.....

Jouni, I'm very happy you successfully deciphered my handwriting and moreover liked the card. Thanks!
In few previous rounds I occasionally sent cards on Fomabrom double-weight paper without an envelope. Paper gives me an impression of rather sturdy stuff. Hope it got to the recipients in decent shape.
...
Many thoughts on the card received thus far. I’ll add notes to this thread later but wanted to quickly thank everyone for their participation. This was my first time doing anything like this, in fact I had no idea a thread even existed so I have missed anyone directing questions toward me. I must not read directions well because I included my real name and not photrio username!
I agree, but here are some hints:you read fine - they're really are no rules re. comments...
There is a gallery - The "General Print Exchange" Gallery found at https://www.photrio.com/forum/media/categories/general-print-exchange-gallery.12/ - but it is rarely used.
Thats great Mike, wasnt too sure if any would get through the postal service. I may have written on some cards that it was yellow, but I remembered at some point it was orange. Used the filter to get the copper to stand out against the white background. The cards varied in paper type and contrast so none will be the same.Just received awty's card today "Self Portrait in Wire". A very interesting Cyanotype , and a very great looking card it is too, kind of an Picasso abstract of Mr Potato Head . The wrinkles in the paper back ground looks good also. Paul, what was the reason for using the orange filter?
And also the stamp you used is really nice, wish we had U.S. post card stamps as good looking.

I too have now received Rowreidr's card of pier 81. I love the square format (of which I like to do a lot!) that it's been cropped to, along with the shallow depth of field.@Rowreidr I just received your card with the image of the buoy wall at Pier 81 in NYC. Thanks very much, it is very interesting to how your chosen processing and printing proces turned out.

I too have now received the intriguing card from jvo. It's a very dark print all over and has piqued my imagination. It has had me returning to it a few times, with me looking closer at it each time.I too have received "ALIEN" from jvo - dark, mysterious and interesting.
Buoy O' buoy Rowreidr's card arrived, even has the wavy ink stamp on both sides a great improvisation by the post office, deciding whether it looks better in portrait or landscape. Thanks.
