Winger's card made it's way to the southwest coast of Canada as well.
I like the old books along with the newish glasses.
I also like all the "55" indicators - the uneven edges, the pattern at the end, and the wide tonal range and subtle transitions.
I too received your card, and am very glad you had the 55 film, and your neighbour tought you might want to photograph these books! Thanks! Gotta love full frame contact prints. I do wish I had older looking glasses, but those were all I had (mine from the 90s, worn mostly to make me look older in court).
My cards will be in the mail by now later than Wednesday.
Oxleyroad's card today, nice soft sepia toned manhole cover from Detroit...
O-Boy, first card off the starting line, looks like a 56 Merc all decorated with Christmas Tree lights, at night time ,in a yearly Chrismas parade, in the rain, somewhere in a town in West Virginia, an action shot for sure..No name mentioned who sent it," but a truly magnificent example of "Home Town Pride" being recorded on FILM. This card inspires me.
The mystery card has also arrived in Pennsylvania. A beautiful, well exposed and printed postcard. I love the faint details you were able to hold in the darkened building in the background. They like to start parades with a strong band in the lead. We are off and running with a very strong image for round 40. If you haven't received this one yet, look forward to it arriving! Thanks.

The "mystery card" card also arrived in Los Altos, California. I agree that it well photographed and printed. The car reminds me of the stories that my Dad told me about his late 1940's Hudson.

Darwin
I too have received the card with the wonderful old car - it is really nice.
Based on where it is from, I am guessing it is rpavich's card.
Busted!I think you are right Matt , he is the only W.V. in the mailing list, guess its to late to start betting on the mailing list on line , winner take all.
I've received the "mystery" card, with a very nice car beautifully printed on it.
What makes it a "better" mystery is that the card had no address information when I've got it.? The mail(wo)man was very amused of this, and proud that she properly decuted it was for me, due to the number of cards I receive!
Previously I've got a card which made it to Australia "piggy backing" another one (and was kindly forwarded by the unintended recipient), but this one is at least as nice!
Hints that I've shared before:I'm learning as I go, the last time i put my return address in the wrong spot and got most of my cards delivered back to me!
1) Please indicate which exchange the card is part of - I am still "owed" cards from previous rounds, and sometimes they arrive late, and in the midst of other rounds...
Some people always confirm.
Some people confirm more for some rounds then others (I am guilty of that).
And some almost never confirm.
I enjoy the confirmations, but don't "expect" them.
If you signed up to send 10, you could expect to receive 10, from the same people you sent them to - I think that is how the software app does it.
And by the way, all of my cards have now been mailed.
Oxleyroad's manhole cover also made it to the Netherlands, thanks! Crisp, light, very nice print. Your photo and some previous comments make me wonder what an older (boring?) manhole cover looks like. If you need inspiration for the next postcard round... there you have it.
AHH-MAN, some guys get all the luck. When I checked the mail today, iandvaag's fine card was there.
An almost extra-terrestrial setting, with a mysterious dark suited figure in a prominent location. I happen to be listening to Leonard Cohen in the car, and he immediately came to mind.
And black borders - this shows dedication!
Could it get better? While yes - I turned it over and there, in his youthful glory, is an image of William Shatner in a Star Trek themed Canada Post "forever" stamp.
Well done!
And because it is so Canadian I just have to say "Sorry" to all those who didn't get a Star Trek stamp on my card.
