The last of mine went out at the end of Dec/ beginning of Jan. If cards don't arrive, send me a pm and I'll get another one to you.

Mine are now all sent out and should be arriving shortly, though I did notice that some of the notes I wrote was smudging, apparently the ink I used on some of the cards isn't waterproof  . If you need another let me know as I did make some extras. Hopefully my next round will go a lot smoother from everything I learned on this one.

edit: People I haven't recieved cards from:
Valerie, Sile, stan160, Simplicius, mooseontheloose, hermit, gr82bart, EricMac, David B, BWKate.
Hopefully I haven't just misplaced any, if you already sent me one let me know and I'll keep looking for it.

My cards went in the post yesterday. Thank you to everyone who sent me cards, I'll find some time to comment on them soon, I promise.

Sorry folks, I've been a bit of deadbeat this past year. I have finally picked my slide to print. Stay tuned ... I am traveling to Philly this coming week, Toronto next and LA the week after that, so it could be a bit longer. Also, I just picked my carton of mail from the post office late last week and have bajillion postcards to go through. Thanks so much.

Regards, Art.

Received two more last week:
sage; I'm in the middle of reading Home Photography by Andrew Sanderson, getting inspired by it. And just then, your card arrived. It is a *great* example of how much there is to be seen and to be photographed right in your own house... Thanks for the inspiration!
Ian: great photo of the bells and tower, nice lighting, ...great shot. What more can I say...

It's a great round...

If I'm correct, I've received 24 out of 30. Still missing cards from aluk, david b and Simplicius. Ah, and from gr82bart, Sile and mooseontheloose, but they have acknowledged that they are delayed, so I'm sure their cards will be in the mailbox someday.

They will! Again, apologies to everyone about being late with the cards. Unforeseen work and darkroom issues have played a big part in my not being able to get the cards out in time. But I'll catch up, hopefully sooner rather than later. I've really enjoyed the postcards I've received this round - more on them later.

Hey David, I got your card a couple of weeks ago, and it's a beauty. Really nice formal composition. Do you know if the church is black to make the most of solar heat or is there another reason? Thanks for the card.

kraker, it appears that my card to you got lost in the mail, as I sent them out quite a while ago. If anyone else has this problem, please let me know ASAP so that I can print a few more, hopefully later this week.

I received Valerie's postcard on Friday. Awesome pose. I really like the perspective. Like I said mine are on the way......sorry for my lateness. I'm usually not such a deadbeat.
Thanks so much Kraker for your"extra" postcard... You rock! I always enjoy your ethereal Dutch landscapes... One day I will get there to show my son all over Europe. As soon as I find your address I will pop your "extra" postcard in the mail.

Today I received Ian's lovely picture of the inside of a church bell tower and Gregor's very nice still life. Ian's picture reminded me how frequently bell towers feature in English murder mysteries.

Thanks Simplicius. Your card arrived today. It's an excellent composition and I love the expression of concentration on the girl's face.

Two more in the mail this weekend

Simplicius, nice reportage-style shot; the print is very good, thanks.
davidb, I've seen this one before... It has been your avatar for some time now. Does this mean I'm spending too much time on APUG? :D It's a great shot, not just the church, but also the clouds, the way the church divides the sky in two, it's great. Could you give some details (I'm most curious about film used, filter used if any)?

Hi all...

Haven't had the chance to comment on cards this round, but I must say that David B's image is absolutely beautiful. The contrast between the window frames and the darks in the print is awesome...what a rich negative this must be.

Thanks all.

That image, the same as my avatar was shot in Iceland, while I was there with Bill Schwab and a few others.

I used my Hasselblad 503cw and my 50mm CFI FLE. Not sure if I had a filter on it.

The film was Agfa APX 100, shot at 100 and developed in xtol 1+1.

My fiber prints of the negative are superb, if I must say so myself. They just pop with the right amount of everything and are very easy to print.

Luckily, I made multiple exposures while standing there. I actually have two of the same exposure.

Thanks for the kind words

Finally printed up my cards and dropped them off at the post office. My goal was to have them out by the New Year. Good thing i go by the Lunar calendar for all my resolutions.

I did go thru and contact printed 1/2 my backlog of negatives and am prepared for the next round.

Thanks for all your patience.

OOPS!

Aluk, I received your replacement card this week. Thanks a lot for re-sending.

But, *oops*... When I looked at it, I knew I had seen that shot before. Hmmm.... My apologies, I *did* receive your card earlier in this round. I must have misplaced it.... lots of stacks of books, cards, etc. etc. around the house...:rolleyes:

My apologies. I'll make it up to you in the next round. If we are not in the same group, I'll send you a card anyway, if we are in the same group, I'll send you two.

No problem...I am glad that you did receive the original one, as it makes me think that perhaps none of my cards got lost. Thanks for the offer!

Received David B's Icelandic black church. What a nice picture. Great tones and contrast. You can just see the detail of the black wood.

Well today, after three days of quite oppressive heat, I received a postcard from Eric Mac, titled, "Icicles".

As the current temperature in the shade is over 45ºC and the postcard sitting in the letterbox was curled like a boomerang, I found it interesting to say the least.

I have received virtually all the postcards from people that I should get, so to all of you many thanks.

Mick.
