Mike, your address is my personal favourite! I love telling people that I'm sending a postcard there!

Right now at the non profit artist run center that I belong they are having a very interesting postcard show by two of our members. www.xchangesgallery.org

... Looks like you've rejected my extremely long address!
Oh no, I just removed your name from the list for a moment to hit 42. Just because 42 is nicer than 43, even though 43 would have been prime

That was my fault, you are on the list now.

ciao

PS: And I am with Kate regarding your address

Well there was one round where I sent every single card overseas, not cheap, but that's the way it is.

Once I think there were four from Australia, generally there are a couple to three.

This means I get cards predominately from overseas which is great.

I have just noted that there is a new town in Germany listed, where possible cards may come from, Jena.

Great place, it has one of the nicest technical photographic museums, I have ever had the pleasure of visiting.

That is the reason, I think this is a wonderful exchange!

Mick.

Count me in for 30 cards again, this round. Will be back from this achingly long photo shoot in Japan, with just enough time to print and post (5 days) before another long shoot in the US.

Cheers from Down Under.

Really? I always seem to send about 10 postcards to Canada, then about 20 in the US (domestic) and 20 overseas.

These rounds are getting expensive

But the way I look at it, I get 50 custom prints for about $2/each.

I'm in once more for the max. PM sent. Many thanks to Ruediger for taking on this project. I don't mind the mix of overseas and domestic postage, especially once I learned that I only need three kinds of stamps. The first time I thought I would have to sort country by country!

Looking forward to it--

erik

Ruediger,
If you haven't sent your postcard from the last round should people be signing up for this round?

I would think it is fair if you first send your postcards and then sign up for the next round or at least provide a good explanation why you will be able to print double the number of cards this time while you were not able to print any card last time.

I'll sign up for 30 again this time. Probably should use some of my boxes of ilford postcard paper... I was quite glad to see, in the previous round, I'm not the only one not checking the back of the postcard paper to make sure the image comes out "the right way up" which was a petpeeve I had when trying the paper out the first time :D

Sign-up closes soon, and since we reached 50 participants - here is the list, please check if your name is on the list. BTW, with this set of participants, applying for the maximum means that you will have to send 46 or 47 cards. If people who signed up for the max feel that this is too much, there is still the chance to lower your number and if people who signed up for e.g. 40 cards feel that 7 more cards is OK, there is still the chance to increase your number

Here is the list.

Today I received another card from Lynda . Thanks. What a great snap shot. Did he use this camera to take 3D pictures? What paper developer did you use for G5.
Great round ,hopefully I'll receive all the cards in the next round.

Thanks! the Developer was in the school darkroom, so it was sprint chemistry. It did take longer than the developer said; the recommended was 2 min. but it seemed to take almost 3 when i tested it, so I went with 3. He was taking digital 3-D pics and was found some 3-D glasses too.

drop dead date?

Hey,

The drop dead date for signing up is 31 May, right?

I will probably be tearing down my darkroom in less than a week (to move it), and want to try and push to get some postcards printed this weekend, and join for however many postcards I was able to get out.

Would it be reasonable to assume that I can join anytime up to 23:59 GMT -6 31 May?

Hi Alan, that is because I got your info after I posted the list update. So you are on the list. I will post a last version of the list on Sunday (my time).

Thanks for joining and ciao

You can join up to any time on May 31st YOUR time. I will do the groupings on June 2nd MY time. So there should be no overlap. Every sign-up I receive up to then will be in but once I start sending the PMs with the addresses, there will be no way to join into this round. So let's say my very concrete deadline is 23:59 GMT+1 June 1st.

ciao
