I love the examples from Germany and the Netherlands. Lets try something a bit more "rustic": Polk Street, Vicksburg, Mississippi, USA. This is one of my first 4x5s in a decade, from a nice gloomy day in March. Tri-X exposed at EI=250, Tachihara camera, 135mm ƒ/3.5 Xenon lens with a Leitz GGr filter. The concrete pavement with the grid pattern was laid in the 1920s.

Oh, oh, I keep seeing these fabulous photos of clean and refined places. They are so cheerful; people are out having fun! Let's try rustic again. This is Spring Street in Vicksburg, Mississippi, USA. Kodak Panatomic-X film, Hasselblad 501CM camera, and a 250mm ƒ/5.6 silver Sonnar lens that I bought 2 or 3 years ago for $87. I have had so much fun with it. The Panatomic is slowly running out - only 10 or so rolls left. I love to use it on gloomy, overcast days as in this example.

I like a bit of grunge in my urban landscape photos as well, as you might be able to tell from the examples I've posted. Something about that I find more interesting than pristine spaces.
