Grand Tetons on a severe clear day. Kodak Ektar, canon 7ne, 24-105l, souped and scanned at home on a kodak pakon f135+, fall of 2017.

A couple pics of the same scene, but with different films. Both are with the same camera (Canon FT), but I don't recall if I used the same lens on both. I *think* I used a Canon FL 28/3.5 on the color pic and my Canon FL 50/1.4 on the B&W one.

This is Damn/Dam Sight by a local guerrilla art group who build structures in the region out of natural/found materials. They built this one in late 2019 or early 2020. I first stumbled upon it in early 2020 while one of the guys was still working on it. We chatted for a while and exchanged emails once after that (he emailed a pile of pics of their other works). Surprisingly, this has stood the test of time even though the water can get up to this spot and is a popular fishing/partying spot for locals.

Nice shots Jon: colors great. Is that a still down in the holler?
Greg: tones terrific. Filter type?
and Philippe: Interesting abstract. (how do you scan it on the V750?)

Thank you! I am sure there have been stills down there and all around over the past century or so. I have run across very old still sites doing some remote hiking in years past on the plateau. More so is running around old, stripped vehicle miles from anywhere. It was common in 70 and 80's for locals to steal cars in Nashville or Chattanooga, drive them up to the plateau, strip them and then push them over the edge. When the state acquired a lot of this land for parks, they had to remove many old vehicles out of the coves. The 90's and early-mid oughts were meth labs, then pill mills for many years but legislative changes have clamped down on that. A long history of lawlessness up here in this historically impoverished area.

An overlook near my office I often go over on to on my lunch break. Greens View, Sewanee, TN. Leica IIIc, 50/2 summitar, Gold 200, souped and scanned at home on a pakon f135+.

From a New Years Day hike to Ravens Point, Fiery Gizzard trail, TN back in 2018 I believe. Nikon n65, nikkor 35-70 af 3.3/4.6, hp5+, souped (forget developer) and scanned at home on a pakon f135+

Reworked this one some. I believe it has a better sense of presence but I have no idea how it plays on a different screen.

Hasselblad 500 C/M with Planar 80mm + orange filter on Bergger Pancro 400 in Berspeed 1+1, dry scanned on Epson 750. and 'prepared' in LRC.
A little to grainy for a 400ASA film/developer combination, but an interesting tonality, for a contre-jour anyway...
