I was lucky - they came in to cool off just before I took the shot ☺️

Based on my only visit to Pompeii, I'm surprised they aren't small lizards.

That looks like a proper dreary day. Have you been to Aberdeen at all Stephen? On a cloudy day, the whole place is 18% gray. Good ol Granite. Ha ha.

Just working with the conditions at hand. Fortunately, it worked with the name of the castle. I was only able to stop for lunch on a Sunday in Aberdeen (The Granite City) as I was behind schedule and needed to catch the ferry in Ullapool for the Isle of Lewis.

I went to see an exhibition on Strand's work today and his photograph of this same building was one of my favorites. Your version is beautiful too!

Thank you Daniela, I go to this place every time i visit Taos. I've photographed it in 5x7", 6x8cm, 6x6. Each time the light is different and i come away with a different image.
