Hi everyone,

I shoot Nikon film (FE2, F80, F3HP), Hasselblad film (500cm), and mostly, Polaroid. I use 3 Automatic Land Cameras (2 230's and a 240), an SX-70 Sonar, Spectra, several 600's, and the Polaroid 300.

Please read my blog, which covers all things Polaroid, at:

Would love your thoughts and feedback!

Took a look at your blog, interesting. I have a Polaroid One Step flash but can't find film for it anymore.

Thanks, everyone! I am really proud of the blog content so far.

Ron, regarding the Captiva, I would say yes if there was still film for it!

What I am looking for is a Square Shooter 2, or similiar, with an interchangeable roller (not spreader) assembly, which I can snap out, and snap into the Big Shot camera I just got. The rollers are a much better setup, and I plan to replace the spreader assembly with a roller one.

Yes I do, Harry. Thank you! I am looking for the snap in roller assembly from a Square Shooter 2, which I plan to snap out, and plug into the Polaroid Big Shot I just won in an online auction.

Any tips where I can find one?

Louis- you can get film for it through The Impossible Project. It is not a true direct replacement for the Polaroid film we all know and love, but give it a try.

Welcome from another bay stater. Although we haven't had a get together in a while, there's a pretty active group of APUGgers in New England, keep an eye on the regional forum for any plans, and welcome to APUG.

Thanks everyone! I ended up solving this on my own. The roller assembly from my Hasselblad 100 Polaroid back fits in my Colorpack 2 perfectly, therefore it will fit the Big Shot perfectly! Now just have to clean the rollers. Does anyone have recommendations as to the best way to clean Polaroid rollers?

Love your blog! Great stuff. Just looking at the images on your site brings memories of the smell of that coater goo. I still have a few tubes of it.

The rollers should pop out

I have an RZ Polaroid holder. The holder should pop out. Once out of the holder, soak the holder in some warm soap and water and dry it with a paper towel.

Thanks- just cleaned the roller assembly- worked lik a charm! Nice and clean. And ready for use in the Big Shot. The nice thing is that the rollers from a medium format magazine seem to be very heavy duty, as does the bracket they are attached to. Very excited to get the Big Shot up and running!

Agreed- I love that smell. The aroma you get when you open a foil pack is still there, as is when the flash bulbs go off- the best!

Yes you do! I just signed up for this site- less flaming, and seemingly friendlier people than on Flickr. Although FPP is wonderful. Have you checked out my blog yet?
