Then you're a member of a very distinct and unique minority.

I've gotten normal results from very old (decades) Rodinal, as have numerous other users.

Ditto. I've got -- and use -- Rodinal that is at least 30 years old, and some that is another decade older. Works perfectly.

I snagged these 2 bottles on ebay, I don't know how old they are but I'll find out soon enough if I bought paperweights.

I have a bottle from the same era. All is fine. Agfa used a composite plastic bottle at this time that was really good at protesting from oxidation.

I recently bought the illustrated bottle of 20+ years old Rodinal. I get the age from it coming with an instruction sheet listing times for Panatomic-X and Ilford PanF (not the Plus version). The contents were measured as 500ml, equal to that specified on the container, so it was probably unused.A film was developed in it diluted 1:50, it works like new.The graduated cylinder contains Rodinal concentrate from the Agfa container.
From the pic, the color is still light for Rodinal, showing that after 20+ years it has hardly oxidized.
Seems the manufacturers plastic bottles do a good job in keeping out air and preventing oxidation, at least in this case.View attachment 174712
Sure this is 20+ ???? It looks like 10+ ?

I can read PA PE under the bottles. (composite of polyethylene and polyamide plastics, as you pointed out in an older post of yours.)

I did a test strip, it turned pitch black in about 10 seconds.

Didn't the A&O bottles were made of transparent plastic 10-14 years ago?

There is mention of Panatomic-X on OP's bottle (and mine as well), which is discontinued since 1987, so my guess is somewhen around 1995.

I will check this may be you are right -
I have all prospects from 2000 and doubt a bit to modern design.

I think the point is that there have been different versions over the years.

I developed a roll of FP4+ with the aforementioned Agfa Rodinal, it went well. *Thumbs up
