I was wondering how people manage to get sharper photos.

I eventually intend to make my own pinhole camera, just trying to get a feel for it, I learn better that way. I will look into 4x5.

Nice photo.
I think colour works great in pinhole.

If you have even basic shop skills, and a table saw, then constructing a camera to take 4X5 film holders is not difficult. Youtube has a video of the construction. I build ultralight 4X5 pinhole cameras out of hobby plywood, 1/8 and 1/4 inch thick sheets, and 3/16 black on black foam core for the front part of the camera. With a film holder in place the whole rig weighs about one pound. I use photo paper as film, cheap and easy. Don't know about Australia but in the US, even starting from zero I could setup to shoot and develop 4X5 pinhole for about $175, that would include paper, chemicals, developing trays, safelight bulb, storage bottles, tongs, 3 used film holders, etc. needed to get started. Scrounging and substitution can cut that by a third.

Thanks, The biggest problem for me when shooting digi is the amount of sensor muck that appears in the image due to the small aperture of the pinhole.
