I do have to say, I have not laughed so much for a long time. My ribs actually hurt... The Comedy/Musical act, as many of you know was just first class. I think Steve has an opportunity with a new profession too!!! It was great partying with you all. I think this was THE most relaxed photostock I've attended.... You know the story though.... You had such a great time, that you need a vacation to recover afterwards from lack of sleep.

Cheers Bill!

Working very hard! Andy really is a very dedicated photographer, and pushes the limits of refining his process and working on the road.

For those that did not attend this year's Photostock, the report is that there was a LOT of wet plate shooting going on. Plate after plate was churned out, with great interest from many of the attendees.
Bill had a wet plate workshop during the days preceding the event, which helped the wet plate contingent along a lot.
Now there's lot of film to process, contact, edit, and print. Yikes, I just counted I shot 43 rolls of film in a week. I hope I have enough film developer around.

Got home yesterday afternoon and promptly got drafted into grilling brats. Thank you Bill for hosting this party; as usual, you worked too hard. Thanks to everyone whom I met; I had a great time and already miss all of you. The Birchwood is a great venue for this thing; the original Parent Trap movie is one of my favorites and this place just whooshes you back to right then and there. Looking forward to next year!

Mike

Holy Crap, did I have a great time with all of you. As has been said, the best Pstock yet. You all made it what it was and I am so grateful for that. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for coming.

This us about as much as I can type on an iPhone, so there will be more from me...

And I too miss everyone already. Too quiet now.

It was a pleasure to see all of you folks again and to meet the new ones. Such a great group and the quality of work is stunning!

I have packed away the half-baked maniac musician for now....back to reality. It was a blast though.

I have a smile in me-heart from the weekend and a bunch of film to process...can't wait!

Thanks Bill and to everyone else.

Steve

HeeHee, I have just met you but don't think the maniac is packed away..as Martha would say, it's a good thing..Evan Clarke

43 rolls? Damn, I shot 1 1/2 for the week. I hope to actually participate a bit next year for the first time. A new baby and a wild toddler kept me busy. Steve, Evan, Mike, good to meet you guys. Jeff, thanks for the D-2 goodies. Bill, see you up there next month.

All I can say about this weekend is WOW!! Thanks SO much everyone for making my 1st Photostock the best photo-meetup I've ever attended! Didn't exactly shoot tons, but the meager 8 sheets of 8x10 I took away from the trip are already proving that I need to keep coming back. Thanks again all, especially those willing to add a little sound byte for the next episode of the Film Photography Podcast. That "bonus" episode should be up in the coming weeks, I'll be sure to post it for everyone. ^__^

BTW - sad news. We drove by Camp Pellston (the abandoned prison) and it is completely gone. The fence is all that's left. The maintenance buildings still stand down the road though.

Just wanted to thank all of you at Photostock. I had a great time! I've got a few photos to.

Mr. Schwab: Hi!
This is the first time for me to join the wonderful Photostock gathering. Obviously I enjoyed it very much. So thank you very much for your efforts to make it happen. I also do appreciate that you spent your busy time to review my prints and gave me your advice. I am sure I will follow your advice to make better prints in the future.

I also want to thank Andrew for taking time to review my prints and kindly gaving me your one of excellent prints, which my wife also enjoys seeing it for its unique quality.

I was so happy to meet my friend, Daniel. We both enjoy talking both photography and life.

I have made a few friends during this gathering. I should thank Dan for guiding us to photograph in the ghost town. We had a very good time there. I was very glad to have chance to talk to other photographers and to learn from each other.

Once again, thank you, Bill, for giving me an unforgetable weekend.

With very best wishes,

Yong-ran Zhu

Flickr Group

Thanks for posting these!

Hello All,

Several years ago I set-up a Flickr group for the Photostock event in an effort to build a photo album over the years of the good times had and the great work made while there.

http://www.flickr.com/groups/photostock/

I invite all of you that are not already members to join and share your photographs.

Thanks again to everyone!

Bill

Thanks for putting on such a great event Bill. Had a wonderful time... and shot a fair number of sheets.

Just got home from Traverse City yesterday and wanted to add to the chorus of thanks to Bill for hosting yet another fun Photostock up in Harbor Springs. Making new friends and meeting up with (now) "Legacy" P-Stockers as I heard someone call us, has become one of the highlights of my year.

Hello Everyone!!!!

I am finally back on a consistent internet connection after our time at Photostock and have been going through everyone's work that has been posted so far. It is reminding me just what a great time I had this year with all of you!! I wanted to formally thank each and every one of you for coming on up... (down and over in some of your cases) and joining in the festivities. For myself, I can't say I've ever enjoyed the event this much!! Not only did I get a little(lot) loopy, I got some great work too. It was a lot of fun doing the portraits I did as well as the work with Silke and Dan. (Thank you both!!!!)

And I even got a souvenir afterward! After being introduced to the "Banjitar" by Lil' Stevie Zimmerman, I drove my way down to Elderly Instruments in Lansing and bought one for myself! What a blast.... I'm ready for the next Photostock and more of Steve's side splitting improvisations.

I also very much appreciate all the nods from you on the event. But really... all I do is set the date and make the arrangements with the hotel. it is all of YOU that make the event what it is and I very much hope you will all continue coming for years to come.

And keep posting your shots to the Flickr page. They're great!!!!

Thank you again!!!!
