Personal experience: Gold 200 or Colorplus 200

I think Colorplus is widely available throughout Europe but not in North America and possibly some other places. I can get 24 exposure 35mm for as little as £2.51 from online photo specialists.

I remember seeing a pack of ten for as low as 30$, but can't recall whether it was 24 frames or 36.

Easily available in USA from eBay or the major mail order suppliers. In fact, for a while one of the mail order companies was advertising Gold but shipping ColorPlus.

You may have missed an opportunity. There is a big difference between the two films on blue sky rendering.

I seem to have experienced more grain differences than I can see in your pics. It maybe the images are just too small to see that detail. I’m looking on a phone.

I agree, the weather is far from what I like, for several days already. But I still have a couple of each Kodak, for better times, so I'll get back to the matter again someday.
And yes, Frontier 330 gives something like 1800x1200 pixel scans, I may have to do test prints as soon as my spouse picks some other pictures for printing.

i used to use gold once in a while, didn't like it at all ..
might have been my lab's processing cause all the tones were
muted and while it was supposed to be "more like natural color"
it wasn't ..

Hello

It's my first post on here, so let's start with stupid questions. I'm in the middle of a dilemma here, I should either buy a bunch of Kodak Gold 200, or a bunch of Colorplus 200. There's no way I can buy both. I want to know which one is better, but opinions on the Internet vary greatly, some favoring Gold, others - C+ 200.

So here comes the question: if there's anybody on here who has an actual first-hand experience with both of these films and which one is better?

I know these films are cheap and probably most of you won't even get their camera dirty with it, but still. Any opinion hepls!

Either film will work well. The color pallet may be slightly different but both will work well. I have use both.
