Perceptol and HP5+

I have been shooting HP5+ at 250 and wonder how it would do in perceptol.

any comments?

HP5+ in 35mm is very nice in Perceptol 1:2, 75 degrees for 11 minutes. Prints at grade 2-3 with a condenser enlarger depending on subject contrast. Grain is very fine and sharpness is high. My favorite combination.

I agree -- it works well. Don't underexpose the film though. EI 200 is probably about right. It scans very well (if that's your "thing").

When Iford was placed in receivership Ilford stoped making chemistry including Perceptol. As I understand the current situation Ilford has started to ship Perceptol, I saw a few boxes of quart kits at one the shops a month or so ago here in the Phx area, but they were sold in a just a few days. I do see ID 11. I think Perceptol is the the Ilford flavor of Microdol X, so until you can score some Perceptol you may to try Microdol X.
