Very pleased with the speed of this scanner but is this quality typical?



It's more noticeable at night but I notice the issue in brighter shots as well.



Can anyone that's used one of these before chime in? The results I see from other's on Flickr seem to be much higher quality.

Judging by what other users are saying re this particular scanner, I'd say no, not typical. Yours look pretty bad in comparison to some I've seen. I'd start with delving deeper into the software you're using with your scanner.
