What is “photrio”?

What is “photrio”?

The new name for APUG. Kinda like when I heard a young'un say, "Oh, the Beatles, wasn't that the band that Paul McCarthy was in before Wings?"

Just got my first 6 rolls - I'll be shooting it alongside Ilford's Delta 3200 in a second body.

If anyone has any times/experience for developing in DD-X, I'd love to hear it. Open to other developers too...

I'm so pleased this film is back. Ilford's 3200 is good, but low-contrast and for my main purpose of photographing at concerts, ill-suited. Good-density negatives would need printing at, say, maybe, grade 7 or 8 which is unfortunate as only up to grade 5 is available.

By contrast (ha!) P3200 usually printed at grade 2, maybe 2 1/2 (diffusion head). Exactly what one wants. I was rating it variously at 1600-4000 or so.

The decision to discontinue it was very sad; the crispness, detail, wide tonality and unique grain made printing a sharp negative to 18x12" a pleasure.

So well said, exactly!
