I have no direct experience. But I have read elsewhere that some think it is OK, others say it is not as good. If I had to get one, I'd be concerned about the materials used for construction, and how long they would hold up long term. Use over time is not an issue with the original Norma. For my uses I hold out for the real Norma deal. I know a fellow over on RFF who bought one, and then later a Norma one came along. So now he has two. I have bought some really battered real ones cheaply, after disassembly and cleaning they work just as intended without issues.

I walked in MPEX in Columbus Ohio and they had this in the back of the store, a really beat up 8x10 Norma kit. I bought the sticky shutter for $100 and the Pan Tilt Head for $200. I'm OK with that. In this shot you can see the small spring loaded pins on top of the head at ten and two o'clock, that is what quickly and precisely aligns the Norma to the head. You can do it in the dark with your eyes closed
