@foc : I'm not sure the first misty photo is out of focus, but it was real misty so 
But you're probably right about why the grain seems so important in those pics. I also agree that the amount of grain in the church is fine, it's the "look" of the grain that I don't like in this one.
I will post an image of the negs as soon as I get them back from the lab (I asked them 2 weeks ago already, still no answer). The lab in question has a great reputation and is reasonably priced, so I don't know. Maybe I'm just being nitpicky
