No Tetenal Colortec E6 Chemistry? Freestyle not listing.

So I was going to buy Tetenal. I can't find anything Tetenal E6 in the US. Is this stuff available? Looks to be available in UK, but Fotoimpex is out of stock in Berlin. The Arista kits are US made, no stabilizer. I'm not familiar with this. Looks like Fuji Hunt is a good but, more than I need option.

In the UK the Tetenal kits now seem to be going for nearly the same price per litre as the full-on 6/7 bath Fuji Hunt kits, whereas in the past the 3-bath option was more economical. Given the price of fresh transparency film today, I'd be tempted to go for the more industry standard option.

This is what I'm going to be doing. The Fuji 5 Liter kits are expensive, 200 USD plus ground hazardous materials shipping. You have a great point about the cost of film. I am going to try buying the individual developer and color developer chemistry to use one shot in my Jobo. Try to replenish the bleach. Fixer is cheap. I cam make stabilizer.

I'm not giving up.

Are those 6x17s? - You've made a good point about the kits, one of the reasons they're expensive is that the bleach can't be used particularly efficiently. I can see the Fuji kits are significantly more expensive in the USA compared to the UK, which is not usually the case with photographic materials.

Yep, 6x17 with my humble Fuji G617 fixed 105mm lens. I had split the concentrates in July of 2014. I'm switching to the Fuji stuff, I will probably replenish some solutions and use the 1st developer one shot. I ordered a case of 1st developer and color developer. The starters in the US are crazy, CD starter is sold in a 1 gallon bottle, enough to make 750 liters of working developer.

I am getting to the point where I will spend whatever I need to make this work. I like chrome, it's a bit of an addiction.

This thread pushed me to look at the Fuji chem. Pricey, yes, but it's a hobby ... You must be using a jobo system if you plan to use one-shot. How many rolls can you do per kit?

I think a 5L kit can in theory develop around 40 rolls. I am going to order the developers in bulk. I think the only way to get repeatability is to use one shot. To run a replenished E6 system, in my opinion, means control strips, densitometer, pH meters etc. Tony Santo has a video from 2014, he uses everything one shot. I may do the same. I can figure out my exact process time, I have a nice Jobo, which does an amazing job of temperature control. You need to measure the 1 L bottle temps usually the bath needs to be about 0.5°C higher, especially in a cool darkroom.
The Tetenal kits work, but the capacity claims are overrated. I have found 4-6 rolls per liter is repeatable, beyond that is a bit of a guessing game, at least with the Jobo. The first developer times need to be increased, it's a bit of a guessing game.
E6 is expensive, I don't drink, smoke, or drive fast cars. My wife told me tonight that she was shocked I didn't have fresh chemistry . So I guess I'm going to go nuts. Now I know why pros ditched analog.

I've not done a huge amount of E6 processing but worked around a figure of 5 rolls per litre, so you are in that area. Agree, the Tetenal claimed capacity seems optimistic.

The 5l kit can do 60rolls, this isaccuratebased on several hundredrolls I have processed using the world class, excellent tetenal e6 chemistry. I sure hope this isn't the end of production due to their bankruptcy.

i used replenished everything. I ordered the bulk chems from unique. I have been replenishing my current batch for almost 2 years now and never had any issues. my replenished results with the fuji are far better than with the tetenal using that 1 shot. not the the tetenal was bad, just that I prefer the results from the 7 bath system. with replenishment, I wind up replenishing, with the 1st developer and color developer, about 30% of the used amount. those steps take a lot of replenishment. the other steps, not that much. I keep the stock bottles topped of with propane and the working chems and the mixed replensihed chems in air tight wine bags that are easy to fill and have the spouts that make replenishing smaller amounts easy.

I just make sure to replenish the developers if I have not used them in over a month. keeps them fresh. first roll of every batch is a single roll to make sure the results are what I expect. your results may differ, but I prefer replenishment.

What equipment are you using? I use a Jobo. If I was using deep tanks I would be more open to replenishing. I still have tanks, 1 gallon and 3 1/2 gallon.

I have for now given in and just ordered another 5L kit until I figure out what I'm doing long term.

I am also looking for E-6 chemistry. Do not have a Jobo yet. They have bounced back up in price. There are YouTubes on how to process E-6 film in a standard stainless steel tank. It is all about keeping temp very consistent and thorough cleaning of equipment. Still have a darkroom although it's filled with storage boxes.

As of 11Nov 2019 I can only find Tetenal on the German website, available but cannot tell if they ship, or have distributors in the USA.
Edwall has come out with an E-6 processing kit only it is 2xs the price of Fuji/Hunt chemistry.

Does anyone have a list of various options where I-we CAN FIND e-6 PROCESSING?

We are also getting out of Tetenal kits soon. Have ordered few sets (one for 3 baths like Tetenal and one for 5 baths).
Have made some tests with 5 baths and got not repeating results with CPP2 Jobo. Hope that with 3 baths it would be less place for errors in mixing/contaminating.

Having started out using the Kodak 6 bath kits I was concerned when I had to switch to Tetenal 3 bath E6kits. but I immediately sawthey were as good as the Kodak 6bath and A LOT easier to mix up and use. Given a choice now, I would never go back to 6 bath, as long as Tetenal chemistry is available.Precise and effective, top quality, made in Germany.

With luck Tetenal will have kits available soon. The market for E6 is so small. Hopefully it will get better soon. It's good you have a local supply for your C41 and RA4.

I'm coming to the same conclusion as you. Tetenal products are excellent. When the "Old Tetenal" went into receivership, I bought a bunch of XTOL and Kodak Rapid Fixer w/ hardener, all from Tetenal. Kodak Alaris is sourcing product in USA now. The Tetenal XTOL dissolves better than the OLD Kodak made XTOL which always had a very few little brown bits that didn't dissolve, just enough to bug me.

The "New" XTOL that I have mixed, is made in Germany. My parts A & B weighted at the declared weight on the individual bags. Mixed very easily and was much lower in dust from the earlier material. I like the new stuff,
