Does anyone have experience with a center filter that works for the Nikon 65mm f/4? I would think any ~1.5-stop filter with 67mm threads would work, or at least safely reduce the falloff to an acceptable level, but I'm curious to hear what other people have to say.

hi xander

i don't have the lens or filter you are talking about
but if it matters ...
i have a schneider 65 with a center filter
it eats 2 stops but it is worth its weight in gold
i can shoot perfect no-fall off film with it !

if the nikon filter is at all like the schneider one
it would be a good investment, an expensive one too !
