(there was a url link here which no longer exists) a link to the photograph I made with the cirkut camera set-up!

Charlie, I'm disappointed. I had this picture of a 1953 Jaguar XK120 drophead pulling a trailer with an ATV on it!

My wife and I are planning to head the old *Jaguar towards Tonapah for the big doings. Will be the first ime in several years that I have attended a "workshop" on any thing other than "living History" so am looking forward to it.

I have not officially signed anything, doe's that mean I can't attend? Have emailed Per as to our intentions, but am still waiting for a reply.

Charlie.............................

*Unlike FEMA, we drive a Ford. Hope you don't mind my little lie!

Charlie, Actually, not so much of a lie as you might think - Jaguar are owned by Ford.

Clyde Butcher Annual Open House

Hey everyone... I attended Clyde's annual lecture/slide show and darkroom/gallery tour yesterday in Venice Florida.... I wanted to share with Per and everyone I met last October.... First of all Clyde is a funny and great photographer real easy to talk too and alot of fun to meet and mingle with him... Very passionate about his work and his new projects... He is a very busy man and he is actually going to be in Yosemite starting April 6th for like 3 weeks..... If your in Yosemite and see a big burly man go up and say Hi.... As for the experience of meeting him and seeing his darkroom i was amazed at all his equipment and his staff's knowledge of the equipment... He has a awesome darkroom and some cool enlargers especially the really really big horizontal one he uses to print out his 5ft by 9 ft prints.... He has a swamp walk in November if anyone is interested.... I will be attending for sure.... It was a great time and well worth the time to go.... I even took my 7 yr old and he had a blast.... well i hope to see you all very soon.... Take Care Ted

Question about camping;

---------- Original Message ----------------------------------
From: Roger A. Smith

Greetings Jim,

My name is Roger Smith and I will be attending the Tonopah workshop. I
understand there might be some camping sites available on your
property. Can you tell me what the specifics might be...restrooms,
water, fees, etc...

I look forward to meeting you.

Thank you for your time.

Roger Smith

Hi Roger.

I just live on a normal city lot with lots on either side of me unbuilt. I don't have any other amenities to offer, just space for primitive camping. There are camp sites in Tonopah though with hook ups. Maybe just one. Contact Station House Casino (775 482 9777). They have an RV site at the rear. See you soon. Jim

Also some info about Hotels. I blocked out a group of rooms at the Best Western "Hi Desert Inn". $59 includes a very nice breakfast. AND there are 2 16X20 color prints by U Know Who in every room. A bargain at any price. 775 482 3511 and mention Per Volquartz. But should you be wishing for more spartan accomodations, the "Silver Queen Motel" has rooms in the $32 range I believe. Contact them at 775 482 6291
