Hi all,

Our "Version II" CB-48FTR ball head comes out today, boasting a nice list of important improvements.

Among them:
- increased stability and support, especially at heavier loads
- larger pan knob
- improved sensitivity in the pan knob's function
- increased control of precision panning
- closed-off base, to prevent dirt and other particles from entering
Best of all, the upgrades in design and function will not mean a more expensive ball head; prices will remain unchanged in the foreseeable future.

Having used one already, I can tell you that minimum friction has been made a little stronger, and those of you with MFDB cameras, 4x5, 5x7 and 8x10 cameras will be very happy with the improved smoothness and precision.

Our larger and smaller ball heads are all getting the same treatment (the new CB-58FTR is already out), but the CB-48FTR is our best-selling ball head at the moment.
Users of smaller cameras (DSLR, Hasselblad, 6x7, etc) will appreciate the new version CB-38FTR and CB-43FTR ball heads.
