Thanks albada. I take it the line is the white is the one running through the 5th pane from the right of the clock as we look at the picture. If so this is disguised to an extent by the dark grey panel and then seems to disappear in the set of panes below the dark grey panel

Yes; that's the line. On the print, one can see it in the sky as well, but the DSLR pic of the print scarcely captured that.
I recently printed a photo shot with a Signet 35 that had a couple of scratches on the back of the film, probably from the pressure plate. The diffusion lamp hid those well.
I went to my local camera shop in the mall to see if they were aware of this. They weren't. They checked their stock of FP4, and it was all newer stuff, different batch number. They checked to see if there was any bulletin from their supplier (Amplis). Nothing. They said they'll contact Amplis.
