I've been using Mamiya TLR's for wedding work for years now, but really wanted to move into an SLR system. A friend who's "gone digital" just offered a system to me and I'm looking for opinions. He's willing to let it go for $1500.00 and it's all in great shape and has been serviced within the past year.

Here's the list:

SQA Body with Meter Prism
SQAI Body with Meter TTL Prism
2 120 Backs
Speed Grip
2 - 80mm PS lenses with 67mm UV
150 mm PS lens with 67mm UV
50mm PS lens with 77mm UV
2 Metz 60CT1 Flash units (they need new dry fit batteries)
Sailwind lens shade with filters
67mm Polarizer
67mm Star
Tiffen Softnet FX1
77mm Star (for 50mm lens)
67 Sailwind warming filter
Tiffen 67mm Softnet Diffusion
Hoya Softener B 67mm
all lens hoods and lens cases, manuals
Saunders Flash Bracket
Bogen Reflector stand and swing arm holder with silver/white reflector

Any opinions?

Sounds like a heck of an MF system at a very good price!

I've never used the Bronica line, but it sounds like an OK deal to me. I check out ebay (almost) regular and while the prices vary very few ever offer all thats in this package. Metz flas units and Bogen Reflector stand and swing arm holder with silver/white reflector. Filters galore (even if you only use them once) and all the lens cases!
You know the guy so you won't pay shipping, know the package is in good condition, and has been serviced so yea, I'd say it's a good deal.
What did you say his name was...

That looks like a fair price, particularly considering that it's all been serviced recently.

Thanks guys, that was my gut reaction as well. Looks like a trip to the bank at lunch! (not to mention a trip to B&H this weekend for some new dry fit batteries and an extra 120 inset or two).

I am quite distressed. Here we an obvious equipment thread with five previous posters. They all agree! :surprised: What are we coming to? I expected with five previous responses there would be at least 12 different opinions!

I own a SQ-B system. This SQ-A system is a steal. Run, do not walk, to the nearest bank and buy it. Assuming everything is in good wofkin order, that is. Even if it's not great cosmetically, it's a great price for a good 'user' system.

If you don't like it, you can re-sell it for a big profit on eBay.
