Is 70~75 rpm the most suitable or recommended rotation speed?

Based on what information I can find online, and on the preset speed options on the later Jobo processors, somewhere between 50-75 is what I am seeing. Of course, everyone should perform their own testing, especially for their desired developer.

Thank you. I think I heard that the Jobo SilverBase also runs at a similar speed.

Some years ago I found the part reference for the motor of the Jobo CPE2+. It is for car windshield wipers and it has a 65 rpm nominal speed.

In an earlier post Imentioned the Evo unit arrived with a broken funnel. I informed them of this and sent a photo as requested... They replied within hours that a new part would be sent....
.
A replacement funnel is now in transit from Reflex Lab...just 3 days after informing them of the broken part....
Excellent service as far as I am concerned....👍

While waiting for the replacement processor, I built a water bath setup. It holds two 1,000 mL Jobo chemical bottles and two 600 mL Paterson measuring cups, and also has a thermometer and timer mounted on it. 😀

Neat! What are you using to maintain the temperature?

In summer and autumn, I keep two 2-liter bottles of water in the refrigerator. I use this cold water when adjusting the temperature of a water bath filled with tap water. In winter, I control the temperature using a device such as the CineStill CS Temperature Control System TCS-1000.

I developed today a Kodak Gold test roll with my usual C-41 chemistry and the experience has been very nice. The Ice-Cream Evo processor is compact and light, and processing has been very easy and comfortable.

Below you can see my setup with the Sous-Vide and an aquarium pump that I used in my Jobo CPE2 to help with water circulation. As the maximum water height for the Ice-Cream Evo is around 6 cm and the minimum water height for the Sous-Vide is 7 cm, I put the processor over a 3.5 cm pedestal.

The motor at 75 rpm changes the rotation every 13-14 seconds with a pause of approximately a second in between, very different than what Jobo does but the film developed without issues. So no problem for me. Ah! One more thing: Jobo cog lid works with the Ice-Cream, Evo no need to use the cog coming in the box.

Very happy with this purchase, just what I was looking for: a compact, easy to use and affordable rotary processor for small development batches. To conclude, some very uninteresting photos from the test roll just to show that the film developed well (camera Agfa Isolette III with Solinar 75 mm f/3.5).

Just curious, why both the sous vide and the aquarium pump? Does the sous vide not provide adequate circulation?

Looks like a well thought out arrangement, well done!

Those smallish sous vide have smallish pump, so the water circulation might not be ideal in OP's large water bath. Thus an additional aquarium pump helps.

@halfaman thanks for sharing the setup and results, very nice! I'm almost ready to open my wallet, to compliment my big Jobo CPP-2 (which typically sits in the garage). This little ice cream machine can sit in my small guest bathroom.

Inspired by the photo that halfaman posted, I decided to buy a mini aquarium pump as well. 🥲
It's a tiny pump, measuring just 5 cm × 4.5 cm × 5 cm (W × L × H).
Thanks.

Earlier post. I mentioned the broken funnel for the EVO which was revealed on opening the box.
A replacement has just been received from Reflex Lab - just over one week from telling them about the broken part.....
Well pleased with their service.
