Don't be too hasty about the jackasses part, they will be the last to go & only if all the good folks leave first.

Hey now, you watch it, I am proud to be a Jackass!

I am a founding member of the Jackass Guild of America(JGA)

Good call, Sean.

Mind you, it's been educational - I didn't think it was possible to 'flounce' virtually...

I was telling my hubby tonight about how few people here responded to Art's excellent thread on picking a photo from the last poster's gallery & commenting on it as opposed to how many people went on & on ad nauseum about the artistic value of flesh.

This may be a positive first step... I'll pretend I'm from Missouri. :D

Everything you say is true.

I honestly believe that Art's excellent thread would be on page 30 right now and going strong if it were not for all the rubber necking going on with the various car wrecks we've had of late.

Funny, was just thinking about Art's thread this morning, and how quickly it seemed to go quite...rubber necking, maybe. I just think like most large groups of people, that it is more fun to may a fuss over controversy than it is to come up with something nice to say....Sorry, to see it but as a card carrying curmudgeon that is my take on all this.

Bah!!

I have often feared excommunication, but never thought of leaving. My late wife had a saying for those who asked if she ever considered divorce. "Murder, maybe...divorce, never."

I think Sean and/or the moderators should do what the newspapers do when we have a member that slips off into the great unknown. Write an obituary of sorts:

"Dearly departed we are gathered here today to mourn the loss of *675^$%45 who has recently left us and we hope he's in a better place. We found out much too late what a horses ass he was and his level of high maintenance was only matched by his level of ignorance. He will be sorely missed"

NOT. Now let's go have a drink.

Due to the tone of discourse on this site, the general tenor of the information I find here, the way I've been treated lately and the demands that other, more important endeavors place on my time...

...I'm staying.

Perhaps a whining, or crybaby forum would serve the needs of some.

Crybaby. Well that's an expression I haven't heard since the days of Johnny Ray and "Somebody Up There Likes Me" when Graziano's alcoholic father accuses him of being just that when he's growing up. Zale of course could only hurt him physically.

Whatever happened to those B&W boxing films of the 1950s?

I hate it when somebody uses an expression that dates me so much because it recalls an era long since gone.

By the way the Fonz was on U.K. TV tonight, in person no less, looking like the friendly next door neighbour guy who wears cardigans and now lends you his mower to cut the grass. How sad for all of us.

pentaxuser - now badly crushed by the hands of time.

2 cents worth

By the way there are actually 3 sides to every story!
His side, her side, and the truth which usually is to be found somewhere in the middle.
