David Goldstein

Hello all,

I thought I would introduce myself after having lurked about the site for the last couple months.

I am a long time 35mm photographer, (around 35 years), that went digital in 2005, and about a year ago, began to shoot film again. These days, I mostly shoot my old Canon FD stuff with either Kodak or Ilford B&W films. I also picked up a one owner Yashica Mat 124, (from the original owner, in fact), which has been fun to shoot and an inexpensive way to do some 120 work.

Anyway, hope to visit with others around the site.

Hey David, welcome to APUG.

You didn't mention anything about a darkroom, do you have any plans in that regard?

Dave

Welcome David, I have a few different models of the Yashica TLR family and love them. This place in my home page and generally the 1st and only reason I sit down at the computer. So, if you find yourself obsessed at some point, consider it normal.

Welcome to APUG

Steve

Welcome to APUG, David. I joined a while ago, mostly have been lurking but recently decided to get more involved. There are a lot of knowledge people that contribute here. Enjoy your stay.

Hello David and a warm welcome to APUG! I also use Canon FD system. I have a TLR but it is a Rolleiflex 2.8.

Welcome to APUG!

Dave,

Not at this time - I can get my B&W and color stuff processed here in town for both the formats I am shooting, and I kind of doubt I will do darkroom unless I am just forced to, (I have little spare time for that sort of work these days).

Jeff,

You've got the real thing! Actually, I like the Yashica for what little 120 I am doing - it was a minimal investment and the camera was extremely well cared for by the previous owner.

On the FD gear, I have been shooting those sort of cameras since 1976 when the police department I worked for bought some AE-1s for crime scene work - that officially got me into the 135 format. Later I bought my own AE-1 Program, (still one of my all time favorite cameras - I own 4 of them today).

Hi, David! Welcome! I'm new here, too, but certainly not new to film. I shot FD mount Canons for a while; the first SLR camera I bought myself was a Canon AE-1, and I had the opportunity to use an FTb for a time, which I quite enjoyed. Man, that thing was a tank!

Glad you're enjoying your Yashica 124. I really like TLR cameras, though my wife hates them.

See you around!

David - hello and welcome to APUG from western Massachusetts.

Again, thanks to all. I have been poking around the forums a bit more and finding some interesting threads.
