Not new to film, but it has been a while since I've shot it. I just opened a box of very out dated Tri-x 4x5 and spent the better part of the day working out the bugs in my make shift film room. Honestly I don't do cat pictures, but, she was just sitting there and I needed a subject to shoot for my film/process test.

Hi Doug -- welcome to APUG! Great test subject as well!

Welcome from CR.

The shot actually works very well. Because of the wooden floor and style of furniture this image has the look of something made over 100 years ago. You can't even go by the clothing or hairstyle of your subject, LOL. My cat wouldn't sit still that long--it would be trying to climb inside the camea.

Welcome to APUG!

Doug - hello and welcome to APUG from western Massachusetts. Nice photo... nothing wrong with that film.

Thanks all for the welcome!
Wolfeye, I'm from Center point now but lived and shot in CR for about 20 years.

If I take a softbox off and set it down one of the two cats will make a b-line for it and jump inside. Their favorite place to lay will I shoot is in the middle of the shooting table. It's probably why I don't do cat photography, I say bad words when the cat gets in front of the lens. In this instance the cat was sleeping there so for the last frame I woke it up.

Aye, there're a few things to shoot in the CR area. Iowa City too. Anything worth shooting up in Center Point?

Good Morning, Doug,

Welcome from southwestern Illinois.
