Can someone enlighten me on this? Sean ?

I posted an add in the new classifieds shortly after its inception using the bidding option. I've had a couple of bids but the ability to bid seems to have disappeared! I also placed another add a few days later and could set it up for bids.

So what happened to the bidding option ?

Am I doing something wrong or has it really disappeared?

The auction feature has been disabled. There is a thread with the discussion and polling that took place. It was about 2 to 1 for no auctions on APUG

If you really wanted to have an auction, you could structure it yourself. Just say, last bid that sticks for 24 hours or whatever interval you like without any new bids wins (that's the format I would use, at least).

Alternately, you could do it eBay style, if you like sniping or if you just want it to end at a definite time, and say highest bid at a certain time wins.
