I'd love to get a F3, but I need flash exposure! It's not so much the 'machine gun' style of the F5, but rather the weight. I'd rather have a F4 or F3.

Get a FM or FE instead and add to your current Nikon system.

And what did photogs do before the F5? skip flash entirely? I think the F4 or even the F3 might surprise you with the flash if you learn how to use it correctly. Even the A mode on the SB28 is darn good.

I found the flash table to be a very very accurate method of exposure.

I presume from your initial request that you're suffering from 'photographer's block'? There are times when I am less inclined to get off my arse and go take photos but the easiest way to get inspiration for me is to check out the local 'what's on' web page and see what catcjhes my eye.

There's also the seasons. Just now in the UK is 'bluebell time'. I am an unashamed bluebell fetishist and spent last weekend with my dig***l camera shooting the little beauties. This weekend, I have a date with even more - plus my Bronica SQ-B / Nikon F100 and a few rolls of Velvia. In a few weeks will be 'the summer' - which will, in the UK, range from hail storms to arid, parched wheat fields.

There is soooooooo much out there. Just get your camera, take just one lens (35mm) and see how many different styles and subjects you can cram into the thing.

Best wishes and hope you recover soon.....

Marko...........go Micro.

When the big picture seems to be getting a bit fuzzy or I can't find "anything to photograph" I reach for my Micro-Nikkor 55/f2.8.Brings the world up close & personal.
Snap on an extension tube and do a series titled "Bugs I found in my back yard".Instead of shooting a piece of machinery you end up photographing the spark plug wire.Tons of fun!

You own a Nikon and are not using it? Shame on you!
If that's a F3/F4 or F5 type you have no excuse and should be severely punished. re-

Now, get out there and shoot two rolls at least and you'll be forgiven.
But don't say that it again.
