Great subject, and congrats on winning the April MSA.I debated between two different topics, but I think I have happily settled on "Surprise/Unexpected".
Did you stumble upon something you weren't expecting? Did you capture someone else's surprise? Please interpret however you wish.
My thoughts behind this were based on this photo I took last year. I was walking between buildings at work (an odd mix of modern and fake old) and came across a giant blow up duck. I cackled, snapped a photo, and then kept on.

I will let a mod add the rules, etc.
Trying to find a surprise seems counter intuitive.... here is one from a few years ago.
Hektor 13.5cm f/4.5
I stumbled upon this last month so it's in the old category. Leica IIIc with a Hektor 13.5cm f/4.5 on Kodak Tri-X developed in Rodinal.

"Oh my gosh!" - My friend's Sweet 16 Birthday, back in 1993. I snuck up on her. Surprise, lol.
Pentax K1000 with 50mm lens. Vivitar flash was used.
Tri-X at 400 developed in D76 1:1, time/temp unknown.

"Car crash 1992" - This one was unexpected. I was riding with some friends from HCC, on our way to Club Castaway when we drove past this. I quickly got out my K1000 and fired off a few. I have no details about this crash.

May have been T-Max 100 and would have been developed in D-76 1:1 and was printed on Ilford Multigrade III RC.
That's a big one. My mother used to grow them and made zucchini bread. She ended up with a lot more than we needed so she sent me and my brothers out to sell them to neighbors, $0.15 each.(New) Minolta Maxxum 9, 28mm f2.8 Maxxum AF, Foma 100, LC-110
When checking my raised bed garden, the other day I was happy to find a few small zucchinis coming along nicely. Then, quite unexpectedly, under the canopy of several large leaves, I spotted this monster hiding. It is sixteen inches (406 mm) in length and around four inches (101 mm) at its widest width. Any good zucchini recipes are most welcomed!

I have been sick and so a bit behind on this thread. Great images so far. Keep them coming!
Adding a new one for fun, taken about two weeks ago: The surprise is that the photo came out at all. I have had terrible results with Catlabs X 320 both in 35mm and 120mm. Most of this roll was overly dark and moody even when overexposed, but the few IR photos I tried came out ok.
