Two old but not too old - mid Jan. this year on a rare foggy morning both from the same morning. The oaks (cropped foreground) about forty or so feet from the front of my house and the banyan tree in my back yard. Two new - a bromeliad behind my house and the palm fronds right outside my dining room deck. All four on Delta 400 120 scanned negatives.

I went for a walk yesterday and took some photos using some odd film I bought from @Kino: Kodak CFT film in a Leica III. Developed in Pyrocat HDC

Very nice! Looks like you have it dialed-in quite well!

This is a new one. I shot this right as the loud cannon on Moby Duck went off. This was the July 4 Main St parade in my hometown, Bothell, Washington. It's about a half mile walk from my house. I shot this on Fujifilm Acros II using a Kodak Retina IIIc. Developed in Beerenol (Rainier Beer).

[New - July 2025] The Path Not Taken

Nearby construction recently begun. Something about the light bouncing off the signs caught my eye.

[New - July 2025] Concrete Proof

One of my recurring haunts, a railroad yard a few miles down the road. I am drawn to the industrial decay and general disarray of the place and have taken many pictures there, including this one ... repeatedly ... looking for something new each time.

"Simply leaves"

Hasselblad 501C with 50mm 80 lens. T-Max 100 at 100. 1/60 at f/8. Developed in PQ universal reversal process.

Correction and Addition: Changed 50mm to 80mm. Don't know how I did that. At times I wish I had a 50mm lens.

I like the dimensional feel with this one. Have you ever tried that modified D-23 on this scene?

Well, the month is over. I liked all the submissions and had a difficult time choosing someone to be the "winner". There are a number of photos I think could be the winner - by pretty much everyone who contributed.

But I chose that somewhat spooky wetplate by @awty - taken from his home of something close to his home by him and some "charming assistant" that likely lives with him (we may never know).

Now I want to see what he comes up with for August.
