Well, the month is over. I liked all the submissions and had a difficult time choosing someone to be the "winner". There are a number of photos I think could be the winner - by pretty much everyone who contributed.

But I chose that somewhat spooky wetplate by @awty - taken from his home of something close to his home by him and some "charming assistant" that likely lives with him (we may never know).

Now I want to see what he comes up with for August.

Really? I demand a recount!
Thanks wasn't expecting anything and haven't been paying attention.
I'm in the midst of moving house and don't have much time, but will come up with something soon.

How about hotels or motels, inside or out. Should be easy to find one new or old. I have about a dozen in walking distance and will endeavour to make a picture of a few.

@awty -- start a thread under the Monthly Shooting Assignment, following the titling convention, and @MattKing will fix it up for you (he's good that way).

Motels is a fine choice and no one cares if it was done before (or I don't).

As it hasn't been done recently, it isn't much of a concern.

One question @awty - just motels, or do hotels count as well?
