MSA March/April 2016: "Follow The Path"

Stairs to the water battery, Fort Washington, Maryland. The fort dates to the early days of the Republic. The base commander abandoned the first fort and detonated the gunpowder supplies during the War of 1812 because he felt he was outmanned and the ordnance at the fort was in poor condition. The structures today are a Pierre L'Enfant design. The fort remained an active military establishment through World War I when the heavy artillery was dismounted to go to Europe to serve as rail cannons.

Where is the sub-forum? I log on. Click on Monthly Shooting Assignment. This brings up the MSA Gallery and the "click here" which used to bring me to this thread.
Now I have bookmarked the link Sean gave me to get here. Can you clarify where the sub-forum is? Thanks!

Weird business, since Apug upgrade, with MSA.. if not logged in get bad dog no bone, you need to be a subscriber, then when you touch something you can look.
Some of the post you have to be logged in to see in another gallery, not MSA's.
Then couldn't view TFC's images, which BTW are great, love the train.. until I logged in and then the 1Meg turned into a picture, and then checked back, not logged in to see if anything new had been added, and they were still visible..
Strange.. lose nuts and washers running around as electrons... causing discrepancies.

We may have a problem with definitions.

The "sub-forum" is where all the threads related to the MSA are. I'm in the sub-forum when my screen looks something like the one below:

In the list of Forums it is listed under General Discussion.

I've now found your "click here". I never knew it was there before. It doesn't work for me either.

Matt, for some reason I've not been getting notifications of the new posts being made to the thread. When I first started the thread I initiated that feature and would get email notification every time a new post was made. For the past week or so though I haven't received any updates and new images/posts have been added. Not sure if I need to re-set my thread settings, but in the meantime I'll make sure to check-in with more frequency! Thanks for any tips you might be able to give.

I really like this perspective, and the weathered stairs certainly do tell a story of hardships endured. Thanks for this image!

Follow the path (in this case a sidewalk in a local park) this time of year and you might find a smiling cyclops made of flowers.

This (and other) threads should now be fully visible without complication by everyone - members and subscribers. That includes images that originate from the APUG galleries and are linked to here.

The MSA gallery is still like all the APUG galleries in that it is limited to subscribers. Accordingly, if you upload an image to the MSA gallery, kindly either upload it to the thread as well, or at least link it here.

A couple of weeks ago I went out to do some photographs with this MSA in mind. My choice of destination was Watershed Park, in Delta, BC. That mostly wooded park is criss-crossed with trails ("paths"). Many of them are created and maintained by trail bike enthusiasts. I'll download them in the thread first, and then add them to the gallery.
