Pictures that suggest a sound.
Juke box, choir - orchestra, band, musician, instrument, public, conductor, speaker, sound of music, each other, callers, noise, traffic, car, radio, silence(!)
sounds of nature like wind, waves, animal bark, meow etc.

The "rules" you'l find on top in the sticky post.
I'm more a photographer than a writer so show your photos, good luck!!!

Nice theme!

For those who are new, here are some rules for the MSA:
* All images must be taken between January 1st and Februari 28th 2017.
* The image must be made analogue: no computer enhancements, digital internegatives, etc. allowed.
* There really is no problem with correcting out those scanning introduced unwanted elements, but no other Photoshop tinkering please.
* You can post the results here and in the MSA Gallery not later than February 28th.
* After that date the entries will be judged and a winner will be announced.
* The winner may host the next MSA.
* You can find all (there was a url link here which no longer exists).

Happy shooting!

Great idea Bertus. I'll do my magic with adjusting which threads are marked as "Sticky".

This seems like a fun assignment.
This ought to be a thread with an extreme concentration of onomatopoeias.

The story behind: People as they walked around looked at me with a rare gesture as if I were an weird person, I believe that everyone were wondering what a guy was doing in the middle of the street pointing a box to a water trail on the ground ... Oh, if they only knew it was not a empty box!, if they knew that I was seeing music notes! ... if the knew it was no water (*) ...

Let's keep on playing music, thank you all!

* (I've considered that the title was better with Water, but it was not what someone's dog did falling from the middle of a column!)

Bzzzzzz .. oh yes, brings back memory's. Back when I lived in Joshua Tree Ca.. in the 70's was a bee keeper, had generally had about 50 hives, that I would extract and sell. But those in the 'new' configuration, of wooden hives, unlike your more natural, older, more historic one.
Oh they would Bzzzzzz, happy as larks coming and going to the blossoming orange and fruit trees in the lower elevations, nearer the coast. It was spring.. and the world was alive.
Now with the crisis of the bee population in the US and the African bees, and their meanness, this world is not as gentle as it once was for bee keepers.. but what a wonderful shot...
It's good to know that you cannot compete in this Monthly Shooting Assignment, as you would have already won with the examples you have posted.
Wonderful shots...

Frustrations of a Photographer:
While deciding what to shoot for this assignment, I thought about the geese that fly overhead in the fall with their loud honking and harsh cries. What a wonderful image of them silhouetted against the sky, wings outstretched that would make! But they normally migrate from September to November and here it is January.

Imagine then my surprise and frustration as I shoveled snow from my driveway and heard the familiar cries. I looked up to see a gaggle of about 50 geese flying overhead. My Nikon 70 was, of course, inside the house, sitting on a shelf. No time to retrieve it before they flew out of sight. Sigh…

I've had that happen too... but you just gave me a most wonderful idea for this MSA and I've been thinking of making a trip to the wildlife refuge anyway...
