Here is the new Monthly Shooting Assignment Jan/Feb 2016:
"Traces of People exposed"

Not only real traces of people, but all signs of human life.
Such as, for example traces of use, things or discarded things in nature, a trap or fishing net in the water, pregnancy, lights in the distance, etc.
I'll place some examples in this Thread and the MSA galery.
An abstract approach, creativity, good composition and good quality of lighting are extra pluses. Good luck!!!

We Were Here

I took theses image on Sunday, January 10, 2016 at the Guadalupe River State Park in the Hill Country of Texas. This Cypress Tree stump stands along the banks of the river and has captured the traces of many visits over the years with the etchings and carvings left in its bark. It was a crisp, bright, early morning when I passed by.

Camera: AGFA Super Isolette
Film: Arista Edu 100
Exposure: 250/sec @ f5.6
Developer: HC110 (b)

They are unaltered negative scans and I hope they fit the assignment theme appropriately.

Hmm, this assignment seems to be asking for a pinhole photo, taken inside. I'll have to see what I can come up with.

Here is my contribution: a statue in the hometown of my parents.

... if there was one man in history that left his traces and was exposed for all people to the worst of mankind ....

The lake I swim in all summer has a ramp to make it accessible for those with challenges of various kinds. I took one photo in early January while the lake was frozen over. The other last week, when the morning was all socked in. I'm using the scanner at work, so have no ability to tweak the scans.

The scanner really didn't know what to do with this one. The print is very delicate and high key. The pink/grey cast is a scanner artifact.
