For a couple of decades I was a regular Light Impressions customer but then had to take a few years off. Then I returned to order from my failthful old supplier and something has changed. As I can read in this long forum, many others have similar problems. It looks like the company is in meltdown. Sad.

I ordered items Dec 19 and got the receipt by Email. No items as of January 7. I have called their 800 number and sent them Email on numerous occasions, with all failing to make contact or get a response. I'm about to run the charge back through the credit card. Is it possible they're out of business and the website is on autopilot?

Would any of you recommend another supplier of archival boxes, portfolio cases, and the like?

Reverse the charge now.
Read back through this thread to find some recommendations for good suppliers.
They seem to be in business- it's just that the current owners are crooks.

You need to contest the charge immediately and have the credit card company give you your money back.

There's very narrow window during which you can do this. After that the charge is final, regardless of whether the merchant performed or not.

This thread is full of complaints from people who lost money to these crooks when it's their own darned fault for not contacting the credit card company soon enough.

I've got a history of two failure to deliver with Light Impressions that date back to October 2011 and October 2010. I wonder whether anyone here has approached the Attorney General's office in California about this and, if yes, what kind of response have you received?

Tetrobob - many people have. The response has been pretty much the same - "thanks for letting us know. If you don't live in California, to us you're a statistic. If you are in California, we might let you know if we ever take action against them. If you want recourse, hire your own attorney".
