OK!!! soo ... MSA official entry #1 that was shot for the purposes of the MSA...

SADLY this is the B&W flower and not the Color IR image... I wasn't able to get that processed... this is a different day as well, but I figured, why not throw in a flower shot... this is the lesser (in my opinion) image for submission, but why not, who doesn't like flowers... I'll upload to the gallery as well, but these are slightly bigger for full effect.

AND last but not least... I really like this image best, I hope I win! ... and proof that it's exactly high noon! Neither image was edited or anything, straight scan, EFKE-itis and all... ugh...

Shot on my Yashica44LM on 127 film

LAST CALL!!

Hi everyone,
It's the last day to post for this assignment. So, take a day off, load your camera and fire away at noon, jump into your darkroom and produce some nice prints to scan and upload here before midnight.
Let's give Martin something to do this week, choosing who lived up the best to his assignment.

Load them up !!

Definitely hi-noon! What is Efke-itis?

I don't have the original file on hand to "zoom" to a 1:1 to show you, but basically it's something EFKE was known for, it's bad emulsions, dust in the factory or just production issues where there are white and black spots all over your image, in a small image they aren't noticeable but an 8x10 or bigger and it REALLY shows and it's ugly.

I'll post something tomorrow to show you.

Glad you got some images in Stone. Apparently my ESP is non-functional. Nothing like my dream image. I like the sun-dial. Very on-topic!

Anybody else jumping in today?

I haven't been shooting nudes lately, more time than anything, but also money to travel to them, I never pay and often they pay me, but it's been slow.

I want to shoot some with my new 4x5 but haven't had a chance, and then finding a place outside at noon... In Connecticut... Lol

You need a LF camera or TS lens, that building is crooked! How dare they build a building "un-straight" in your prescience!

Btw nice color! What film? Provia100f?

That's Ektar 100. I don't NEED a T/S lens or a 4x5  I like the photo exactly as it is - the imbalance gives it a certain je-ne-sais-quoi (that's French!).

Haha I was of course being very sarcastic, it's a lovely shot

After looking at it further (especially how the color tone looked on the metal) I figured it might be ektar100 but didn't feel like changing my post lol.

Good stuff

Okay, just a few hours left for any last minute, just under the wire entries!

Tomorrow morning… the winner will be revealed. And the madness can start all over again…

Seriously, I've got a difficult decision to make. Thanks, people!!

First, thanks to all who submitted photos for this MSA. There were so many great pictures to choose from! And I must say, I never expected the wild variety of pinhole images. Crazy good stuff. But I have to choose one. And it is:

Sly, "High Noon Hose" - (there was a url link here which no longer exists)

Congratulations!

I knew that would win, I even had it imprinted in my brain day after day it's really a powerful piece

I would hang that on my wall in a heartbeat

Ok Sly, all of my pregnant friends are about to burst so if your assignment involves babies hurry up and tell me before it's too late!

Hi Sly,
Congratulations with your winning image!! I fully agree with Martin, but I won't give up trying
All my pinhole cameras are loaded again and awaiting orders ...
So I can't wait to hear what you'll come up with for the next assignment.

Whew! Thanks Martin. Now I'm responsible for the next round.

Stone, much as I love pregnant women, not everyone has actively reproducing friends and family.

I'm thinking "Transport" as a theme. Has it been done before?
Should offer lots of opportunity.

"Transport" is just fine. It is up to you to decide.
Do you want to give some directions/hints with this theme or not at all? Maybe an example or "anything goes, as long as it is analogue"?
You can think about it and post it in the new thread. Don't forget to post the link here.

Congratulations!
Great choice Martin, and congratulations Sly. Well deserved, that is an excellent photograph!

This was the first time I tried MSA and the first time I've uploaded anything to APUG. I'd like to say this was a lot of fun and I learned a lot not only doing the assignment, but also from the discussion ( about IR, etc. ). I thought it was fun to see lots of pinhole too! I'm already looking forward to the next MSA... Thanks Martin and everyone!
