Mirror damper exchange Praktica MTL ?

I have since many years a Praktica MTL 50. As I currently want to exchange the light seals the parallel renewal of the mirror damper could also make sense. But I have not found any information about mirror damper exchange of MTLs. Is this not needed? No chance to improve the strong mirror slap by a replacement? Many thanks in advance.

The only light seal that needs to be replaced is the door seal foam strip.
