I finally got it to move,,, I needed to use both fingernails to coax it to move. I'm soon going to pop it open, maybe I can get a small amount of alcohol on the area to free it up. I know the ASA knob moves some kind of potentiometer, so I don't want to get any alcohol on the pot itself. Your images show that it's an easy one to get inside and you don't have to de-solder everything. When you go to adjust the spring tension, do you just lift the spring up with the tweezers and move it to the next slot?

The MG-s has an identical ASA dial around the CdS cell, and it has the same problem. Instead of trying to fix it, I've opted to have an MG-s for each film speed that I use -- never a need to change it.

I think the ASA dial controls a little aperture over the sensor. Do you have the service manual?

Good idea. Reminds me of my three old-style Minolta-16, each with a different focus lens.
