Hi all,
I have been checking out everything I can here on Apug and just keep getting detoured with my various interests photographically. I work full-time at a university and go to school half-tim at a community college. I'm in an Associate of Fine Arts Photography program there; a bit long in tooth to be starting school, but what the heck. Near-sighted in one eye, far-sighted in the other but I still love working with the medium.
Film is my first love - I shoot 35mm, 6x6cm and am getting into LF 4x5". I also have a digital camera and use it some but mostly shoot B&w 6x6cm. I made a darkroom in the basement and just found a great deal on an Omega
D5XL with three lenses and a turret for them.
I have learned a whole lot since finding Apug and look forward to being here regularly and often. The people here have been great! Very helpful, informative and given me good direction to investigate as well. I may never make money at photography, but the professional attitude or approach with the laidback, conversational aspect of everyone here is awesome.
Thanks for having this site and for helping those of us out that still love film.
