Got the Lubi
OK I got the Lubitel today and the Weston Meter yesterday, one a fine piece of old fashioned engineering the other a Russian camera
Loaded the film I bought, that's an art. I don't think the camera has seen a film so everything is really stiff, I also wonder how the back stays shut with that clip.
Anyway I see what you mean about the focussing but otherwise I love the lubi for the moment, lots of clicks and whirs like a camera should make !!
I'll let you know how it goes and where I end up. Thanks for all of the advice- I sometimes think I'm the last film person on the planet when everyone at the photo course is going on about photoshop and their £2k+ kit but this site has made me feel positive about my decision to go film again. I am feeling the urge to dust my old processing gear down as well.
As for cameras I may end up with a mamiya TLR or an RB67 maybe even a bronnie or pentax AE (ETRSi prices in the Uk are silly-£500 for full kit inc metered prism)
Thanks again and good shooting .
