When I first noticed Panatomic X, I thought what a great name. If you were marketing a new film, what criteria would it have? And what would you call it?

sounds like the name of something from the early '90s.

Sex-Z Hypergraphic

Digital-X

Or maybe something like EI-X. “This box has no speed”

Digital-X
That reminds me of compact cassettes from the 1990s/early 2000s, "for CD"

Film names with "Retro" irritate me. Film is not something from the past in my mind.

Adopan is a good name for an Adox film range.

LOL I agree. To get the full 90s/early 2000 effect maybe we could have the box be oversized for no reason and have it read MEGA-BASS. 😁

end 90s names: Film2000!
or, Adox or Foma could call it EUROPAN

Europan would work, but it sounds a little generic like a rebranded film.

Another EU name fitting one of the popular special effects films would be BureaucraCyan.

I guess the American equivalent would be PanAmericana.
Pan-demic is hopefully out of stock for a while...

Friends, always with a grain of salt. Europan did exist.

I somehow see the whole film business going the craft beer route, including silly product names.

Pan-IC (for extended infrared range, color)
Pan-Da, made in China by Lucky

If I were marketing film, I'd be trying to allude to the perception that film use has unique characteristics including its "look" and imperfections - so "Panalog" for example, "Film Wabi" (an allusion to wabi-sabi, although it might get confused with Film Washi), "Film Look" (if you're trying to get that film look, why not use film?), etc.

FryingPan

Ristretto (technical, low ISO, high contrast), espresso (~ ISO 100, medium contrast), lungo (ISO 200/250, long straight curve like Double-X or fomapan 200), cappuccino (ISO 400, medium contrast)

Methampan (ISO 12800), imparts overconfidence to the photographer, corrosive and damaging to the film path of the camera, though with the compensatory effect of increasing camera repair skill, but with the downside of.... nevermind let's just stick to coffee
